Principal
Bruce Auty is the Founder and Principal of The Risk Board having had over 40 years experience in financial services.
Bruce was Chairman of Bank of Queensland’s Asset and Liability Committee, Chairman of Executive Credit Committee, Chairman of the Crisis Management Committee and a Member of the Bank’s Executive Committee. He has 44 years banking experience with a specialization in Risk Management.
He has founded The Risk Board in order to ensure that applied risk management skills of experienced practitioners are readily available to the financial services industry.
From 1991 until 2009 Bruce held a variety of General Management roles with the Bank of Queensland, PricewaterhouseCoopers and Westpac. Roles include Customer Advocate, Group Credit Policy, Specialised Finance, Commercial Banking, Asset Management, Credit Risk Review and Institutional Banking.
Prior to 1991 Bruce’s career embraced a number of roles including New York where he was a foreign exchange dealer, and San Francisco as Assistant Representative. Bruce has also spent 10 years in retail banking in New Zealand.
