Andrew Williamson

Executive Director

Andrew Williamson joined The Risk Board in January 2012 with a 30 year 
track record in financial services.

Prior to this recent move, as MD and Head of Diversified Financial Institutions and Banks at National Australia Bank, Andrew was responsible for the regional team who manage relationships with the broad spectrum of financial institutions including banks, investment banks, consumer finance, non bank asset originator, stockbrokers, credit unions, building societies, and government financing authority clients. These responsibilities include business origination and growth in returns as well as risk accountability across the broader client portfolio.

Andrew was with NAB since 2001. Between 2001 and 2005, Andrew managed initially the non Bank Financial Institutions business within Australia and New Zealand, and then was Regional Head for FIG (including Banks) for Australia. For the 12 months to Sept 2006 Andrew was Acting Global Head of FIG with responsibility for a global business comprising teams in Aust, NZ, US and UK. During this time he sat on the nabCapital Exco. These roles required significant business transformation and strategy setting, resulting in strong growth outcomes.

Andrew has also been a committee member of the NAB head office Transactional Credit Committee since 2006. This involved being a full voting member on regular Credit Committees that are the highest level of credit risk decisioning across the broad range of credit risk proposals originating from within Business Banking, Institutional Banking and Wholesale Banking divisions of NAB.

Prior to joining NAB, Andrew worked for Westpac for a period of 19 years. During this time he held positions within Credit, Corporate Banking and Financial Institutions relationship management, and Executive Management support departments, as well as product roles in Debt Capital Markets and Loan Syndications. Over this period Andrew spent in excess of 6 years in roles in Asia, including South Korea and Hong Kong.
